Caring For A Synthetic wig

Washing Your Synthetic Wig

  1. Shampoo wig with a gentle shampoo, in lukewarm water. (Note: baby shampoo is not gentle - use shampoo for color treated hair).

  2. Cleanse by gently squeezing the wig - like you would when washing delicate clothing.

  3. Turn wig inside out and repeat the process.

  4. Rinse thoroughly - repeat if necessary.

  5. Condition the wig by using a small amount of conditioner. (Note: use conditioner for color treated hair).

  6. First, rub the conditioner into the palms of your hands and then evenly distribute throughout the wig.

  7. Rinse all the conditioner out. (Note: do not comb the wig when wet).

  8. Place on an inverted flower vase until dry. (Note: it takes about 5-7 hours for the wig to completely dry).

  9. Comb wig with a comb, use comb provided.

Wash wig about every 7 days or sooner, if needed.

  • Avoid all excessive heat such as stoves, ovens, campfires, wood stoves, steam, tea kettles and dishwashers.

  • Do not store wig in the bathroom.

  • Do not use curling irons, flatirons, or hair dryers on wig.
